Admission Steps for Graduate Level Students

Step 1.

 

Visit and apply through our OAd Website. Click the link below to get    started:  https://cais.clsu.edu.ph/register-account

 

Register your active email address and password, then click Register Account. On the user login page, click Graduate Studies and enter your registered credentials.

 

Step 2.

 

  • Fill out the application form for Graduate Studies through CAIS and attach the following requirements:


           1. Recent Transcript of Records (TOR).
           2. Certification of Grade Weighted Average (GWA).

     

  • Recommendation letter which is downloadable from OAd Website Page from your former professor/supervisor to be sent directly by the   reference to the Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS) Program Coordinators is required.

     

     Please be reminded of the numbers of recommendation letters needed:

     a. Master’s Degree = 2 recommendation letters

     b. Doctor of Philosophy = 3 recommendation letters

     

  • Recommendation letter should be sent to Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS) Program Coordinators.

Step 3.

 

The approved recommendation letters should be sent to the credentials_gradlevel@clsu2.edu.ph by the IGS Program  coordinators.

 

Step 4.

 

The IGS Dean will send to the Office of Admissions thru CAIS the approved application for admission for the Notice of Admission.

 

Step 5.

 

The applicant will be notified that he/she is approved for enrollment, and the Office of Admissions will send him/her the approved Notice of Admission.

 

Step 6.

 

Please prepare the following requirements and submit during enrollment.

 

For Filipino student applicants:

 

  1. Recent Original Transcript of Records.

  2. Certificate of Honorable Dismissal or Transfer Credential.

  3. Certificate of Grade Weighted Average (GWA).

  4. Approved Notice of Admission.

  5. PSA Birth Certificate.

  6. 1 pc 2 x 2 colored picture.

     

For foreign student applicants (Residential):

 

  1. Approved Notice of Admission.

  2. Five (5) copies of the Student’s Personal History Statement (PHS) duly signed by him, both in English, and his national alphabet accompanied by his personal seal, if any, and containing among others, his left and right thumbmarks and a 2x2 inch photograph plain white background taken not more than 6 months prior to submission.

  3. A notarized affidavit of support including bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other expenses.

  4. Recent Scholastic Records/Transcript of Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant’s country of origin or legal residence.

  5. Photocopy of date page of the student’s passport showing date and place of birth, and birth certificate or its equivalent duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post.

  6. Certificate of Proficiency in English issued by the CLSU department of English and Humanities for a fee for students who come from countries where English is not the medium of instruction.

  7. Must qualify in the physical and health examination conducted by the University Physician.

  8. Security clearance from his/her embassy.

  9. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR).

  10. Student Visa (9f).

  11. Must pay a non-refundable admission fee.

  12. 1 pc 2 x 2 colored picture.

     

For foreign student applicants (DOT-Uni):

 

  1. Duly accomplished application forms for admission.

  2. Two original copies of recent passport sized photograph size (4.5 x 3.5 cm) in white background

  3. A photocopy of the data page of his/her current and valid passport.

  4. Recent Scholastic Records/Transcript of Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant’s country of origin or legal residence showing a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00 and 1.75, or their equivalents in bachelor’s degree/post-baccalaureate and master’s courses, respectively. 

  5. Certificate of English Proficiency. A foreigner whose native language is not English should show proof of satisfactory rating a test of English as a foreign language, administered by third party as IELTS or TOEFEL.

  • All admission requirements are required to be submitted as original copies.
